From above, flying over Ravicka, it could not be believed. And even on the ground, amid debris, there was a definite tone of denial. All Ravickians seemed to want news of the change kept silent. I found myself complicit. Something had happened here, and as I gathered clues, I remembered the blue flyer that had hung from the post in front of the hotel. A new feeling about what the sign might have meant struck me; I thought the whole thing needed investigating. Making my way back to the hotel, I took the same streets I had chosen on my way out, only this time I noticed them: agitators. Not just the occasional passerby yelling, “Next time us” and “We’re nearly out of luck” to any who would listen, but also more flyers. Not blue, as I had encountered earlier, but pastel oranges and pinks.
